Special thanks to @Auxryn for two great games. 40K we can put down to some unlikely survival for the two Blood Angels vehicles I was sure would die right away, and while the Orks didn't share that luck they did have the fighter of the match in the Rocket Hammer guy, who killed three operatives in one action. Sure two of them were Orks but it's the krumping that counts!

Thanks for the games and company as always folks. So many different systems in play this time, awesome to see even if I'm being boring and sticking with GW

Thanks to everyone for coming! And to Jye for being a great opponent in both games!
I think I just wasn't familiar enough with the list to put up a good fight in that first game. The second went better for me only because I was slightly more familiar with the system than you were!

Thanks Dave for navigating that truly "what-the-heck-went-wrong?" Blackstone game. We were doing so good and then, wham, wham, half the team OOA and the other half crawling down out the exit on their hands and knees yelling, "Game over man...". Absolutely hilarious. We have been doing pretty good so far, so this should be a wake up call.
And Asch will be disappointed to learn my Captain survived, but with an injured arm. Frostgrave was fun! Love that scenario. I just played soooo badly!

...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Thank you for having brought up the idea for the Halloween seasonal game! I was glad to see my conversion of the scenario worked pretty well with not too many, not too few, but good number of undeads popping up.
Ottashade! to your poor captain. The model is so nicely done and we'd like to meet him sooner or later again.

Well, last Sunday was my first time actually encountering them in person (that I am aware of). They were out in droves, waving their little heads around looking for hosts. Luckily, they seemed to prefer the taste of my comrades more than me!The Other Dave wrote: ↑Tue Oct 07, 2025 1:53 amWell, I'd been living happily not knowing land leeches were a thing that exists, so thanks for that!![]()
These are smaller, wormier, and brown. They are not especially dangerous (for disease or anything), but they do drink your blood, and after they leave the affected area keeps bleeding and itching, so not something I really want to run into a lot.
