Oh no, this completely destroys my dream of becoming a monk or barbarian. Worse, it brings back nightmares of when I was 13 and diagnosed with color blindness, killing my career path as a gargoyle rider.
Wizard's really all I've got left, but for *'s sake, do I REALLY need to spend hours studying every night to regain my spells?!

But when you can invisibly fly around, summoning monsters and dropping fireballs left, right and centre it all seems worthwhile.Grim Ironjaw wrote:Wizard's really all I've got left, but for *'s sake, do I REALLY need to spend hours studying every night to regain my spells?!

Wow, I hadn't thought of it that way.Primarch wrote: But when you can invisibly fly around, summoning monsters and dropping fireballs left, right and centre it all seems worthwhile.
My thoughts of wizardry were focused the more mundane tasks such as entering a summoned Dire Badger into a dog show and seeing which of the judges would have the balls to notice that it wasn't actually a dog.

If you point out that you could wipe out everyone in the dog show with a snap of your fingers and send the judges to the lower planes to judge beauty contests between demons and devils for all eternity, I'm betting you'd win 'best of show' every year.Grim Ironjaw wrote:Wow, I hadn't thought of it that way.Primarch wrote: But when you can invisibly fly around, summoning monsters and dropping fireballs left, right and centre it all seems worthwhile.

I love playing wizards in D&D.

I always like the Rangers my self.. I never could understand Magic in the game... magic weapons were always very cool...
