HAH!
I always knew you had a thing about evil robotic tyrants out to enslave the galaxy and this proves it. Your Anti-decepticonism really grinds my gears.

Your previous posts were brought into line with my dinosaur/giant mecha hating ways.

I prefer the Mk VI beaky armour myself, it looks far superior to the Mk VII.

In this, you speak sense. Womble Marines are clearly superior.

None of the Horus Heresy novel covers would look out of place in the 41st millennium instead of the 31st. It just looks to me like the artists all missed the essential difference in tone between the settings.
Not sure there ever was any essential difference in tone. Maybe there is from the fiction (never read any, so I can't say) The old Adeptus Titanticus and earlier versions of Epic were set during the Horus Heresy

and I don't see much difference in style. "Warhammer 30K" could have been an interesting departure in style and theme, but I don't see that anyone gave it any thought. I mean from a business point, why?
I do remember thinking as Warzone was going down the tubes that it would be cool if GW would buy them out and use the figures and images for a 30K. The forces of the "New Man" (Emperor) struggling against the traditional corporate/nation-state/religious conglomerates for the control of Mankind's future. Set at a time before the whole Space Marine soap-opera gets started. But again, even if the thought of trying something different crossed anyone's mind, why bother?
Sort of fun to speculate about though.

Fair comment folks. I guess I was reading into it too much (again). I blame Shakespeare the bigot!
It's often unfair to pull phrases and euphemisms apart with PC and the thought police, especially on a gaming forum. It's probably best to leave religion and politics out of hobby forums right?
Apologies for creating more storms in teacups. ;)

More like a teacup in a storm? (Carter Unstoppable Sex Machine circa 1992)
