Majide??? Who's gonna make them then? Any clues?
Sorry this is getting off topic, but I think it is stupid of GW not to produce all of their models in a certain codex before they start working on other things, as I have understood it almost every space wolves player has thunderwolves in their army and the codex has been around for some time, no?

Games Workshop.

As a general rule Forge World dont make units for the main game. They may produce variant models (other types of marine armour), and sometimes FW models get brought into newer Codex books (IG tanks and Tau Pirahnas), but GW will eventually make everything in each codex.
They have a finite amount of production resources and can't just churn out every model for every codex without slowing down the whole codex production schedule, which usually comes to 2 or 3 books a year.
They also have a limit to how much they can release in one go and hope to sell. Yes, Thunderwolves would probably sell quite well, but as an example, the new Dark Eldar outsold the new Space Wolves and new Blood Angels combined. So at the moment, DE are getting more releases.
All models will be released given enough time. Projects like new armies often have a lead time of a year or two and there is one in development at all times. If they waited until one book was done before starting on the next it would take over 16 years to bring each book up to date rather than around 6 years for the majority.
In the meantime, if people want to use Twolves they have to convert them or buy some fake ones. If they buy the fake ones they cant use them in GW stores/events, so a lot of people buy GW models and convert them. When GW does release new ones, people will buy them to replace their conversions. At least, that's what GW hopes.

*cough*exodites*cough*

never gonna forgive them for making up something so cool, and then never making the models for it.

and speaking of eldar, where are those bloody scourges, hmmn? get the finger out, GW! And Kheradruakh, and Arhra, and a big pimpin vect-mobile. I'd buy all of the above, if they were available.

btw, how is it that PP can release all their codexes and a rulebook in a single year? OK, they have less books, but its still a damn sight more than GW do. They also churn out models at a far higher rate than GW (or so it seems - i havent done a direct model count comparison)
current (2019) hobby interests

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

That was a LOOOOONG time ago when they expected people to convert stuff, gave away models on the cover of White Dwarf, which from time to time included rules and useful stuff in it and you could legally field tanks made from old deoderant sticks and medicine spoons. :D A lot has changed since then.

Because they had 8 years between editions and simply compiled all the old info into a new book and changed the points values. Plus, they have 6 books for WM and 5 for Hordes rather than 16 for 40k and who knows how many for WFB. Its also worth looking at how they expand their game. The army books are the basic info and every year or two they will release an expansion (e.g. wrath) which adds a couple of units to every army rather than updating the army books themselves.
Dont forget that a lot of Warmahordes units are small (lots of 1-man units like solos, casters and jacks) whilst GW units tend to come in boxes of 5 or 10 with multiple options for heads, arms, weapons and spikey bits. As nice as PP models are, they aren't easily poseable, have no room for kitbashing and generally have no options.
I like Warmahordes. I played it today in fact. I also like 40k, which I played today as well. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, just that they do things differently, each with its own merits and drawbacks.

Khador are still waiting on their Man-o-War Bombadiers as well.

Nice to see something a little different. I was expecting another bad guy with yet another big pony-tail.
