possibly useful mini cases

Post by me_in_japan » Tue May 31, 2011 11:11 am

Just found this browsing around. Cases for yer minis. Not super duper cheap (although the card ones arent bad) but when you factor in the free international shipping, I reckon theyre worth a shufty. Now, if you could find an appropriately sized aluminium case over here (in, say, a second hand store), the card cases start to look verra attractively priced.

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

I have one of these and have been carrying my Warmachine and Malifaux models around in it for months. (no-one ever notices what I do anymore    ) It is fairly useful, nice large sized spaces for big bulky models like the Butcher since there is no way he fits in a GW case and some pick and pluck which is nice for my 'Jacks.
Sadly, the cardboard on the hinged edge doesn't hold up to much use so at some point I am going to get some very strong, tough parcel tape and secure it inside and out.

i do recall that you had a cardboard case, Prim, but wasnt sure if it was the same type. Anyway - did you get it from this site, or did you buy elsewhere? If elsewhere, any chance of a price comparison?

I got it via Maelstrom. Standard discounts (I think I bought it during a 16% off sale). However their selection is pretty limited and they dont have any of the special trays, just the generic pick'n'pluck or infantry trays. The case is pretty sturdy but as I said the hinge along the back is starting to wear a little. I'd still recommend them.
They also do trays for GW style cases on their site which allow you to fit more models into a standard GW case, very handy for horde armies.
