I'll throw a bunch of decks together.
The only work you have to do is show up and have fun.
(But if you want to put your own deck together, be my guest.)
Editing the first post to reflect this.
There is a gaming event in Tsu on the 9th I believe.Grim Ironjaw wrote:I'm glad to see that there's been a fair bit of interest.![]()
Who's free to play on the weekend of July 9-10?
Location: Nagoya
Exact venue: TBD
I will bring about 6 commander decks for people to use, or feel free to bring your own.
One note about the decks: They're packed full of powerful cards, but they're designed to be fun (I hope). I've shied away from dedicated counterspell/land destruction/discard/prison decks.

Well, is there anyone who was not planning to attend those events and who would like to play some Magic in Nagoya?
Alternate option:
Is anyone available this coming weekend, July 2-3, in the Tsu area? (Not Nagoya)
No worries. Keep me up to date.Spevna wrote:I've got stuff going on most weekends this month so might not be able to make it. Will let you know if anything changes.
me_in_japan wrote:sorry Jesse, I appreciate that you do love your magic, but the biggest reason I have for shying away from it is deck building time. Much like yourself, i enjoy building decks. To play with a pre-built deck removes most of the fun for me. However, when I do deckbuild I spend far, far too much of my time doing it, and this time really needs to be spent on other things like eating food, talking to the wife, and generally doing other stuff around the house. tbh, i dont even have time to paint, these days - i havent picked up a paintbrush for about a month.
So, many apologies, but Magic is not for me.
