That said, The Three Amigos is entertaining in it's own little way. Its the sort of thing you can watch whilst assembling models or doing some painting or something.
As to the first, I think Steve Martin and Chevy Chase have had their own fair share of chuckle moments in film. Credit where credit is due.
As to the second, I would have to agree with you Prim.
