went to the pub with Ashmie and talked about nowt in particular whilst drinking beer. :D

also, on a side note, actually did some mini related stuff. My cold ones arrived (yeah, there are riders in there, but meh, I bought a box of zards, really...) nice minis, actually. If anybody needs some dark elf cold one riders then I'm open to hear why you need em. I just need the lizardy bits, and maybe some spikes n fings.
*edit* might need the arms, too. Just in case anybody was wondering...

@M_i_J - That is a nice looking cheesecake. Well done. :D

I did nothing yesterday. I plan to do something tonight, though I'm not quite sure what though. :D

technically I did this a few weeks ago, but it arrived in my parents' house yesterday, so I'll post it now.

I bought this picture. The original ink/pencil drawing, signed by the artist.

Cost a fair bit. Quite a fair bit, in fact, but since I have taken up a Spevna stance, I'm not buying minis half as much as I used to, and this has the advantage of being something I can just put up on the wall of my geek room and be done with. No sitting unused in a box for years, unlike most of my fancier mini purchases over the past wee while.

Nice picture! The cheesecake also looks great!

I magnetized a bunch of my battlesuits today. Not sure how well they'll work yet, but hopefully it'll hold stuff on a bit better than blue tack.

@MIJ: Nice artwork!

Yesterday and today, I painted a glade guardsman to test the colour scheme I was planning on using for the Wood Elves. Now I'm not so sold on it, though. And that green (Vallejo Game Livery Green) either goes on runny or clumpy — making it pretty much useless in my airbrush. Might have to try a second colour palette.

nice elf, tk! it's a shame the green is giving you gyp, as it's a lovely colour scheme and well executed, to boot. are you sure youre thinning the paint enough/not too much? also, do you have an agitator in the bottle? ive found that verey helpful in the past.

@underdweller - tau battlesuits are what magnets were made to hold together. itll make life a whole lot easier for you, i reckon.

It certainly could be something I'm doing wrong, but the brown shades for the cape went on beautifully so I figured I had the basics of the airbrush down.

Even just hand-brushing on a bit of scrap plastic, though, it's obvious that the green has a very different consistency from the other paints. Rather odd.

I didn't know an agitator was a thing you could do. I'll have to look into it.

fair enough. Either your day was really busy, or you just had a nice relaxing day. Either way, a non-hobby day is by no means a day wasted.

Believe it or not, I actually painted today. 10 banshees. Undercoated, and then a gradiated base coat was applied (kinda bone at the top of the armour, moving down through a warm yellow/beige into a kinda charadon granite colour at their feet). I need to go over the whole lot again and define the armour plates with some careful washes, but so far im pretty happy with how theyre going.
