@ Kojibear: I use Tamiya too but it tends to be a little shiny. If you can splash out I can definitely recommend Chaos Black spray from Citadel. Town Crier (Ikeda San) did me a good deal off the retail price. It came to about 1700 en. It's 2100 from Yellow Sub. Beautiful finish and good for metal as well as plastic.
What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
@ Mus: Did you paint that recently or is it an oldie? That's a cool dwarf model. Nice work sir.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Re: What did you do today.
Tamiya can be a tad shiny, but as long as youre using a primer it shouldnt be a problem. If you use Tamiya spray paint (which I used to) the shine can be an issue, as shiny acrylic = on too thick = paint repelling layer.
If you have an airbrush, the Vallejo primer is great. I just started using that on my banshees, and it gives a great matt, slightly grainy finish, which is ideal for a primer layer.

Re: What did you do today.
what i did today:
just for a change from banshees, I cleaned up a plastic cryx warjack kit, the erebus bitz and the one with the souls (i forget his name) bitz. I had kind of hoped to be able to magnetise the various kits and change em as needed, but unfortunately several parts need to be pinned on (the souls, for example) and also I cant find my magnets anywhere

Yesterday, I got four Wild Rider horses primed and base-coated so I can paint them in Tsu.

Re: What did you do today.
I assembled 4 Knight Models Stormtrooprs (a process fraught with difficulty and swearing) then went out to The Clockwork for dinner and a few beers.
Re: What did you do today.
Yesterday I played 2 games of Epic Armageddon.
Last night I finished off 10 Necron warriors and made a lot of progress on my 10 Immortals.

Today I played some blood bowl, and highlighted a banshee's armour.

Re: What did you do today.
Sunday I started on a project to scratch-build an Aeonic Orb (although it's really going to be more of an Aeonic Double Tetrahedron, since orbs are hard to make from plasticard) for my epic Necrons. I'm not sure why, since I have other stuff on my plate, or how good it's going to look in the end, but I did.
Feel free to call me Dave!

This morning I spent about 500 pounds buying 3 Napoleonic brigades, some celts, some romans, about 160 zulu warriors, a british brigade to fight said zulus and some buildings to cover the Napoleonic, Roman and WWII periods.
