@ Konrad.
Build at your own risk the forge world haters are out there. I reckon they are all a bit cry babyish. But this goes to everyone, I am playing FW whenever I want as much as I want. If you do not like it do not play me. That said. I do not own any of the truly broken stuff. And I never take super heavies in normal games of 40k...if you're out their with a forge world model and people are like "you can't play that,"come and play me. I love the forge world models. They are good looking and challenging to play with and against. The really broken stuff is great for apok and even better to shove in the face of My favorite enemy ( Movie Marines!!! ) just bought a few really cool FW models that I plan to use a lot.

I reckon that you, me, and Konrad need to sort out a three way Ork royal rumble some time soon.

@ The Madmiral: I think the thing with FW is that no-one likes being blind sided by it. It's not much fun turning up for a friendly game and your opponent suddenly whips out one of those Super-duper, indestructible, ramming flying things. That smacks of douch-baggery. I don't think anyone has ever said No' to FW if the person playing with it asked if they mind.

I had one of my periodic altercations with MIJ a while ago about using FW in a tournament but that's a topic for another time

OT Good work on the Trukk. Keep up the good work.

I think this is key. If someone rocked up with Grot Tanks, I wouldn't be fussed. If it was that Space Marine ship ramming boarding craft I might be a bit miffed.

That was a 12,000 point Apocalypse game FFS! Even the most naive gamer could reasonably expect to face a Super Heavy or two :D :D :D

Mind you... Two Primarchs, that is another story!

:D :D :D I think you had a few more than two.....

Anyway, here is hoping that M_i_J can get some more work done on that Junka before we get too far off topic again.
As a big fan of FW material, I think that using it is fine, so long as your opponent has at least been informed. Flyers/Super Heavies/Gargantuan Creatures should really get opponent's consent first, but if someone wants to use the rank and file FW stuff, I think a quick heads up should be all that is required. :D

@Badruck - Feel free to bring those Mek-Junkas along to any game with me. I'll be happy to turn them into real Junk anytime. :D :D :D

@M_i_J - Are you sure you aren't an Ork at heart?

Years of painting smooth hulled skimmers has suppressed my inner mekboy, I reckon. Tbh it's fantastically liberating to be building a tank and think "hmmm, could use a bit of wall extension I've here. Oh look I have a roof piece - lets use that." Bit of razzle dazzle wiv the ol plasticard an a coupla Tamiya rivets later, bobs yer uncle. Can't do that with a wave serpent, lemme tell ya...

Oh, and by all means continue the off topic chat. If nothing else it helps conceal the fact that I got bugger all work done on the junka today due to being down the pub with the English department  (rather important leaving do for a very helpful teacher of over 30 years. One of those rare staff events I actually wanted to be at)

*edit* my inner ork was just swamped by my inner pointy-ear. Got an email about the new studio mcvey mini in my inbox today. Couldn't resist...

On the plus side, I got this too, so I could get 10% off. That makes it ok, doesn't it?
