Keep in mind a full quarter of the price is paid by GW as commission to Apple. GW would then be getting 18£ for each sale. (still expensive, but obviously it's just an experiment for now.)

He wa pointing out the idiocy of restricting sales to Apple only devices .

From a business stand pony a multi platform release makes much more sense.

As for just releasing it to just Mac devices or rather the iStore, I'm not sure about the business matters. It may be just as MiJ or Tenori wrote, it could be a trial or it could be some contractual commitment. Maybe they are stuck in negotiations with companies like Amazon or whomever you can buy applications and files for non-Mac stuff. (I've been using Macs for about 5 years so I lost track. I'd probably lost if I didn't have Mac. Jobs preserve the Impe... Apple.)
