GW is worth about £180 million. Amazon is worth over £640 million. I wonder who can more successfully bully whom.

Babysitting! The Tau can take care of themselves just fine, thanks, we don't need nannies.jus wrote:I'm hoping to come across some plot elements that will further the 40k storyline, and maybe shed some light on why Tau is being baby sit by the space marines. One things for certain, the emperor is not quite dead yet, and will probably stay that way for another 6 editions.
As for the reason, I believe that, according to Blood of Kittens or somewhere, Tau will "prove the ultimate key to the destruction of Chaos" Seems like a good reason for us to be best buds!
Or, it could be that, with the Tau ever hopeful that other races will join there ranks, and the Space Marines having much bigger problems to worry about so not in a huge hurry to wipe out the Tau, they are not really worried about betrayal? Still, it does take away from the Marines "Space Nazi" image. More fluff would be nice.

I remember reading in the Tyranid Codex something about Ultramarines and Tau teaming up to fight the Tyranids. I doubt the Tau would go back on a deal made in good faith, and double-crossing the Tau and exterminating them might be consistent with the Imperial ethos, but I don't think it's the Ultramarines style. They aren't the dirty double-cross type. So maybe they trust each other, a little. At least, some of them trust some of the Tau.
