That is the funniest thing ever!

If only it weren't so close to the truth. We sometimes used to play DnD at lunch times when we at (a all boys Catholic) high school. We weren't doing anything particularly evil but one uptight teacher forced us to shut it down, his main reason being that DnD exposed us to alternative religions and faith systems.

The irony of it all was that his son played Eldar in Epic/Space Marine with his full consent and then later that year during our Religious Education classes, speakers were brought in from other faiths to speak to us about their 'alternative' religions. Mixed messages much!

I did a quick google search and you were right. It is brilliant stuff.
Interesting. Do people actually believe that D&D gives you magic powers? Because if it does I must have done something wrong. The only spell I have been able to cast is "Polymorph Money to Models"
Ooops. Wrong magazine (and religious denomination) my apologies. I can only offer the explanation that the Devil used D&D to cloud my memory.
And @Prim, yes some people do believe that D&D was devil worship and that worshiping the devil gives you majic powers. Remember, we are talking about Americans here, a significant minority of whom believe the world is 8000 years old and that fossils are part of an elaborate conspiracy.

Lycanthropy is a real problem among today's youth. I'm glad they're nipping that one in the bud.

Can't really say that I disagree with them on the Twilight films, though.
