Oh, I only delude myself. But I did speak to Ikeda-san, pick up my 40k starter kit and look at some rules. (Wait, the Hellbrute is exactly the same as a dreadnaught minus the extra attack and without the Crazed rule? Lame rules. On the other hand, the model (all of the models in truth) are amazing!) What a guy, he really went out of his way to give them to me. I'm also starting to get over my head with fantasies for a new army....

Uh oh.

Today I:

Made a big picture/list of the Reaper Bones thing a few of us have going on.
Actually painted! Wtf, I hear you say. Well, yes, i actually put brush to plastic and did some work on kbear's lion. I've kinda done the skin, but need to go over it a few more times with some softening layers to ease the blends a bit, as well as put in a few more point highlights, and I haven't done the face yet (lions have bloody complicated markings on their face. Oddly, Apple (computers) helpfully supply lots of big close ups of mountain lions all over the Internet, for which I'm vey grateful

Today, a bit more work on the chaos spawn, and finished my Prussian up Daisies casualty markers for Black Powder. In the morning I enjoyed watching Jason and the Argonauts with my son. Formatted my PC's hard drive and dealt with the ensuing technical fallout.
Helped my mum get my dad's new iPad up and running, then talked to her on it for about 2hrs. Well, I say talked. Listened is probably a more acurate word. Today, you can call me Mr. Tech Support...

Put sand down on some bases for some models I've had kicking around painted but not base-decorated. Will seal the bases with a second coat of glue this evening and finish the bases off tomorrow - assuming I can stop playing FTL for more than about 15 minutes at a stretch.
