What's the size of your Lizardman army there?

Hmmm... not really sure yet but I would guess at least 2000 points? (I bought them from Prim for a good price a while ago, but have just been sorting them out recently) - I have about 25 temple guard, 30 or so Saurus Warriors, about 12 Cold Ones, a ton of Skinks, 3 Slaan, 3 Kroxigor, a couple of Stegadons, and some other stuff that I'm not quite sure what it is yet.

@ Underdweller: that's really cool. I hope you join the FB fun next Joshin day.

Today I lounged in the house with the wife. She planned our trip to Seoul and I managed to assemble a few Berzerkers-slayers. This evening the plan is to cook, iron and pack for a Wednesday game.

Continued to deal with the fallout of a freshly formatted hard drive. (you know - all the wee bits of software and codecs and other such gubbins that you forget you need until the whole thing comes grinding to a halt and you're like "oh yeah! Xvid - kinda need that!" and so on...)

Corrected a class worth of essays.

Bought my wife a ridiculously expensive belated birthday present. Not sure if she'll be please or pissed...I'll find out on Saturday (a quick explanation: wife's bday is actually in feb, but at the time she was 9 months pregnant and not interested in anything much other than popping out the sprog. Since then I've pondered and thought about what to do, but neither she nor I have come up with anything that wouldn't just be a token gesture. This Saturday is our wedding anniversary, and I had a Jolly Good idea today, so figured I should strike while the iron was hot n all that :) In the interests of equality I feel I should point out that she hasn't gotten me anything yet for my bday, and that was in July.)

Finished my first Dogs of War (Empire) pike unit. I'm not a great painter, but they look ok from a distance!

Also finished the first 5 crossbowmen:

And the first halberdier:

In progress are pistolers, great cannon (carried by Ogre) and mounted knights.
So many games, so little time....

Great painting, they look historical in tone. Good work.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I quite like those Dogs of War. Good colour choice too.

The only thing I would say, and this is just a personal preference, I think a black rim on the base would give a nice contrast with the green fock.

Thumbs up from me :)

Today I did not very much. Its hard to get much done when the wean is requiring attention every few minutes. That and the fact I was finishing up installing stuf on the PC, and just generally ironing a shirt, making tomorrows lunch, washing dishes etc and the evening kinda just disappeared. I quite want to get back to that lion before the muse leaves me. Bit annoying, tho - I keep finding mould lines that I missed (cos it was black when I got it, gorramit!) and having to scrape em off and repaint whatever limb/tail/bit of mane that got de-painted. Since it currently sits at about 20 layers of 4 different colors of paint, it's getting increasingly vexing whenever this happens...

Continued working on my wannabe Death Guard. Decided not to do them dirty as I just wasn't happy with the test model when I took another look at it. Still got a lot to do, but definitely making progress.

@Yellowstreak - Try giving the flock a light drybrush of a matt yellow colour to offset the bright green, or change the edging colour on the bases as Spevna suggested. Other than that, they look great. :D
