I reckon most wouldnt get the connection, and those that do get it wouldnt be offended, as a) its clearly not intended to be rude, and b) to have sufficient understanding of english language implies sufficient understanding of english(american/aussie) culture to know that we're wierd and to not be put off by that.

So aye, i reckon we shouldnt worry about it. Most Japanese folks I know (actually, now I think on it, ALL japanese folks I know) really arent too religious. I daresay some are, but none of the folks I know. (including co-workers, in-laws, etc. In fact, a good deal of my coworkers are catholic. ho hum, go figure...)

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Yeah, I knew I was over thinking it. That's cool then.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Dont you work in a catholic school? Not exactly a broad cross-section of the population we're talking about here is it?

Anyway, I'd like to get more Japanese players signing up for the event so dont forget to mention it if you see them/email them/use mixi.
Thanks
Primarch.

4 Weeks left till the event and 8 people have signed up so far:

Admiral Badruck (Rob)
Ashmie (Ash)
Me In Japan (Dave)
Dungeon Lord (Phil)
Miguelsan (Miguel)
Mike the Pike (Mike)
Spevna (Mus)
Primarch (Stuart) as a ringer if there are an odd number of people.

If I can, I'd like to get more than 10 people through the doors, so if you know anyone not on this list then give them a call, send them an email, or go to their house and threaten their loved ones to get them to come. :D
I'm noticing a distinct lack of any Japanese players this time around, which is a shame. I'll put out the word next weekend at Kids Land.
