MIJ is your titian
MiJ owns a Titian? :o

He's richer than I thought ;)

On topic: I ordered the codex via eBay too. Cost = ¥5,608 JPY including shipping.
I have 12 Bikes already with no plans to get anymore. I did however cut off most of the Klansmen heads and replaced them with regular guardian heads.

Och aye, I have several. I keep them in the cupboard under the stairs, mostly. I like em for the subtlety of their polychromatic modulation, meself.

MiJ start salivating Warwalkers with BS 4 and 5+invul and the new Eldar rule for 60pts each. Pity they are still HS.

And if the rumour is true and the wraith swords are the same who the hell thought it was a good idea to give a S+1 ap 2 sword option to the S10 MC that already has ap 2 for being a MC?

Do the devs read their own rules?

You mean the Eldar finally learned how to use their highly advanced super-intelligent alien technology? Wow! Turns out it was the big button on the dashboard marked "auto target" after all...

I found that Pathfinders can be deadly, if I read the rule right ALL their shots are precision shots. Not bad at all to park them in a safe spot and clear all special/heavy weapons from the enemy.

I think that is true of all snipers isn't it?

Looking over the new codex, it seems that a lot of points got jiggled around and everything in the codex became BS4 if it wasn't already. Mixing Scatter Lasers with other weapons seems like a better choice than pure SL's on warwalkers now. Scatter Lasers have a special rule called Laser Lock. When firing, roll all SL's first. If you hit, then all other weapons being fired are twin linked.
One big change is Runes of Warding and Runes of Witnessing.
Warding now gives the farseer a +2 Deny the Witch roll on his unit. Witnessing allows you to reroll your psychic test. Both are ONE USE only. No more 3d6 shenanigans for you. It also looks like Warlocks roll up their powers randomly and no longer auto-cast them.
On the plus sides, Wraith-nouns no longer have the "roll a 2+ or you can't do anything" rule.

Snipers only get precision shot on a 6 to hit.

Having had a quick look over the new codex ;) I'm not sure what to make of it all.

BS4 all round is nice and about bloody time.
Bikes and Wraithguard got cheaper.
Farseers got cheaper
Rangers are cheaper
New flyers might be fun
Wraithknight will be a fire magnet but is pretty powerful
Twin linked bright lances 5pts!

BUT

Some units went up in price
No un-nerfing of close combat aspects.
Still too much competition for those precious heavy support slots.
I want my normal blade storm back!

Still it's nice to be brought into line with 6th.ed.
What does everyone else (who has seen some/all the rules) think so far?

Bs4 is good, and as you say, about time
Death Mission is hugely amusing, as well as being a nod to the old school, iirc
Hermes feather is daft. Run 48"? Eeeeeeeeh?!?
New shuripults are, taken as a whole, better. At least now you can kill some stuff.
Our transport is still grossly over costed and still largely useless.
I like the new Wraithguard/blades.
Reapers are proper reapers now! Huzzah!
I like the dual psychic powers.
No webway portals? Eh? What's up with that?
Avatar is a good deal more expensive, and for what, exactly?
Farseer is also more expensive (used to be 55, is now double that. Granted, he comes with more stuff, but still)
Warlocks - interesting how they work. But like yon space wolf chappies, ain't they?

Overall, I shall need further time to digest, but largely happy with just having a fresh injection of stuff for the Eldar. We've been needing it for ages.

I still don't see why guardians got plasma grenades and the Banshees didn't. Somebody at the Studio must hate the poor gals a lot.
