I thought I would give this thread a push.
How many guys would be interested in a Black powder game? If you are, do your prefer one on one engagements or do we want organize something a little bigger?
We might also exchange lists and talk about a scenario.
Otherwise who is up first for Hail Caesar? And when and where should we fit BA?

It's probably best to keep things 1 on 1 as bigger games tend to take longer. I will have minis for BP, BA and HC for people to borrow if they want as well as terrain etc.
It looks like we only have a few people coming.
Me
Job
Badruck
Komura san.
There are a couple more who may or may not attend and I'm not sure what they are planning to play, though Bolt Action seems pretty likely.
Cutlass is also on the menu as well, so that is something else to consider. It might just be best to play things by ear in the morning and see who turns up, before organising the games after lunch to get better match ups. (E.g. players who know the rules for a game with players who want to try it).

Gentlemen. As ever I would love to be there truly, but I'm still in England. Have a great time. Forwards

Thanks to everyone who came out to today's event.
Between the 6 of us we managed 3 games of Hail Caesar, 4 games of Bolt Action, 1 big game of Black Powder and a quick demo game of Cutlass.
I had a lot of fun, despite severe beatings in both my games of Hail Caesar.
Thanks for making this a great day of relaxed, fun gaming.

Thanks a lot to Prim for renting a big, wide, spacious area. Then packing four tables (one double wide) with terrain, and finally supplying models for all four game systems.
Oh that and also providing the usual introduction game GMing and rule clarifications.
Thanks a bunch. It was an awesome event.
Also thanks to my three opponents today.
Kazu-san was so nice as to teach me how to play Bolt Action and put up with Japanese and my questions.
Thanks to Soga-san for the awesome game of Black Powder. You fought great. Attacked my rearguard and rolled up the flank. Well done!
Thanks to Prim for playing an awesome game of Hail Caesar. I think the charge of the gritty and impeteous 3rd cohort will be remembered for awhile.
And thank you to Komura for the Prussian Landweher. I'll paint them up so they can be used by anyone in the next battle.
Oh, thanks to Badruck too for just coming down from Ogaki and being part of it all.

Sounds amazing. You crammed a lot of games into one day. That's the Black Powder and Hail Caesar rules I'm guessing. Nice and fast. Did you get any photos taken, I'd love to see some of the battles.
Just sorry I couldn't make it again.

@Ashmie: as requested and in honor of those French, Polish, Swiss and British who fought at HHII.
The opening: The French and British forces advance parallel to each other. Their calvary brigades range ahead towards the crucial crook in the road marked by the bell tower. (The honorable Gen. Soga in background.)

The British Line Brigade advancing in parallel columns.

The French, Swiss and Polish battalions led out by General de Division Lafayate.

The Vistula Lancers fighting with swords attack and rout the British horse battery.

The daring British hussars are surrounded and disordered.

Each side call up their second brigade. Gen. Soga makes a decisive and crucial decision to advance the Light Brigade at the French line of advance. The French attempt to throw up a screen of chasseurs and march past this threat.

The Light Brigade bears down on the French attack columns in mixed order.

The disordered and desperate hussars face a rear charge by the cuirassiers.

They flee the field after two rounds of fierce and running combat. While they are forced to retire in their desperate resistance they've broken the french heavy calvary, too!

The British array themselves in a curved, refused line. The 1st regiment of the Vistula Legion and Swiss 1st regiment prepared to swing into the British highlanders in the British vanguard. The French 2nd Brigade approaches the British fusiliers in the middle.

Bloody close quarter fighting! The men of the Vistula Legion attack in column, but receive tremendous volleys from the Highland foot. Savage fighting proceeds seeing a stalemate and the Poles deploy into line.

The British light brigade had driven off the French chasseurs and began a movement to roll up the French flank. The men of the 48th Ligne put up a determined fight as they are volleyed from the front and enfiladed from the flank by four battalions.

The Highlanders put on an amazing show of courage and prowess as they shrugged off a storm of musketry and bayonet attacks and routed the larger Vistula battalion!

The French desperately try to shore up their flank, but the poor 48th, attempting to maintain order in their ranks as they receive overwhelming fire doesn't hear the orders to pull back.

In a last hurrah, the proud 18th Ligne break the exhausted Highlanders.

But, the fighting was over.
The British Line Brigade and the Calvary Brigade had been broken. The Highlanders were devastated, the Hussars sent off and the horse battery destroyed. Two other battalions were shaken. Yet, the Light Brigade stood little scratched from the fighting.
On the other side, the French were forced to retire from their hard won position at the bell tower. The Vistula battalion, a battalion of chasseurs and a squadron of Vistula Lancers were all routed. In addition the cuirassiers, the swiss, the 48th were all shaken. Every brigade was broken. There was little to do except accept defeat.
Victory! for the British.
