I will be there at about 10ish (possibly a tad earlier, depending on how long it takes to walk from the station. I'm getting the 8:53 from Tsushinmachi.) See y'all tomorrow!

btw, Dlord and underdweller - how many points were you wanting to play tomorrow? I know I can whip up a list on the spot fairly easily with warmahordes, but it might add to the tourney-practice challenginess of the whole thing if I plan the list, at least a wee bit.

Not that i actually remember how to play the game or owt, but still... :?

Anything's fine - how about a standard 25 point game? Don't worry about the Tourney practice, any game will be good practice for me, just so I remember my own stats and special abilities!

Thanks for a great day, even if I was exhausted. I played some great games, all of them new to me. Ninja dice was great as was Blood Bowl Manager.
Glad I could make it out the house to do something non work related.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

@MIJ - Thanks for the game, it was good to have a refresher on how to fight Cryx - always watch my back, and expect lots of surprises!

I think Epic Feora is a decent counter to them, with a Redeemer. I have been thinking of her as my backup caster, but she will be my first choice against any sneaky lists that I face.

@UD - many thanks for the game. Yon feora and that thrice accursed bomb-lobber certainly gave my chaps a hard time. I think at one point my entire army bar the slayer was on fire :) it's pretty hard to counter, too, unless you have some good long range shooting ability. I reckon you should do fine at the tourney.

@dlord - and thank you for the game, too. That was my first time up against a colossal* and it was funner than I had expected. While it's certainly hard to kill**, it's by no means a game breaker, unlike my seeming inability to follow through on what would've been a perfectly set up caster kill. Twice

still, many thanks to both of you for a fun day of warmachine :)

*@all - this was by prior arrangement. He didn't just plank the thing down on the table with am evil cackle or owt.

**@all - by means of a slayer, who, thanks to a poorly judged charge by dlord was able to charge in himself and punch in the stormthingy's kneecaps. Sadly, the colossal seemed to take this personally, as in the next round of fighting he pulled both the slayer's arms off and threw the remains at Deryliss, unsurprisingly killing him. Still, after some hasty repairs by Mortenbra, the plucky young slayer was quickly back into the fray, closely followed this time by the Withershadow Combine. Between them they did a right number on the collosal, but it stayed standing. Dlord then sorted out the combine with an ogrun bodyguard and his master, and it fell to the deathjack to finally punch the collosal's ticket for the last time. So, aye - not easy, but doable :D

True, the fire was pretty effective  ! But your guys were no pushovers, themselves - even while burning, you managed to get that Flea Warjack right up and into Close Combat with my caster - that could easily have been the end of the game. And your Deathjack took down most of my heavy hitters in one round, with a little help from his friends. If I hadn't made that lucky hit with my Repenter, he would have been up and fully functioning again the next round, I guess. That is one scary hunk of metal

Congrats on taking down the Colossal - I think the one of their main abilities is to draw focus away from everything else in your opponent's army.

'Poorly judged' should read 'brain fart' as I thought double SPD for charging and not +3" for some weird reason. I must have been bewitched by cryxiness.

Oh and we should add "by means of a slayer who was reminded to charge by his kind opponent". Otherwise Mr Slayer would have been a pile of scrap metal.
