Thanks to Mike the Pike and Job for the games, and of course an extra big thank you to The Other Dave, without whom..well, without whom we wouldn't have been there, and could well have been less entertainingly engaged.
My first time playing Epic - one win, one loss as Blood Angels. Game 1, a jammy win against the mis-shapen, hunchbacked squat menace, as commandeered by Mike. They did charge 3 landraiders and destroy them, though. The second game was a loss to guard, skulking in them there poncy tanks. I think I gave them a run for their money, but it wasn't enough and little by little I was bombed to buggery. Well played Job.
2 great games, thanks fellers!

Thanks TOD for a day that was Epic in every sense of the word. Though in the case of my games it was epic...fail. (insert sobbing Ork emocon) Wow, Genestealers are fast. Oh, overwatch...forgot that you used to be able to do that in the old days..... Great great fun none the less.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Thanks to everyone who came, and particularly ToD, Job, and Underdweller.

I had a great time! Playing Titan Legions was a great experience, something you really can't do outside of Epic. Perhaps next time I can try the Ork Gargants.

Sorry I had to leave right after my second game. It took longer than anyone else's game I think, partly because I just couldn't wrap my head around the victory conditions.

As everyone has said, thanks to TOD for hosting the event, and being patient with my constant rules questions! I always learn more about Tyranid history when I come to your events, also.

Konrad, thanks for letting me try out my Genestealers, it was fun to finally get them into battle! Unfortunately, they were vaporized by a Volcano Cannon? or something similar in the second game, before they had a chance to assault.

Auxryn, thanks for the game, sorry if I was a bit spacey the last couple of turns, I had a pretty busy weekend and I think my lack of sleep was catching up with me. I wouldn't worry if you didn't remember all of the victory conditions, you played well with an army that is a bit tricky to handle.

I'm glad everybody had fun! Already thinking of when to do the next one.

One thing I just thought of - some people (well, just Mike, actually) asked about the guy making not-40K armies in Epic scale. He (his company is Onslaught Miniatures) actually has a pretty comprehensive range by now, and while I haven't bought anything from him yet (I really don't need a, what, tenth army) the reviews are positive and they sure do look nice in the pictures.

He's got Tau (including Kroot and whatever those flying bug dudes are called), Tyranids, and a sort of hybrid Sisters / Marines line that covers both armies pretty well if you don't mind female marines. Looks like Dark Eldar are in development, and Slaan of all things are in early planning stages.
Feel free to call me Dave!
