And before I forget, a big, big thank you to the one, the only, the great bearer of bitz, may his paint pots never crust over, Prim, who has once again dumped a metric ton of kit-bashin' goodies upon the undeserving. Get this man a Santa hat. I bet your wife is saying, "Is that ALL you got rid of?"
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Actually, I went home with more stuff than I brought to Joshin. Some Necromunda terrain found it's way into my collection...

Yes, thanks for the bits, Primarch! Also I forgot to pay the 500 yen room fee, so I will try to remember to pay double next month.

Ah, I forgot to say, "Hey I got to split. I'll pick up the terrain next time." I figured one of the Dredd-ers would take care of it.

@Auxryn: Nice write-up of the game. Although I made a few silly choices late in the game, for the most part the guard followed through on my battle plan. I didn't expect to have enough firepower to deal with gorkanaut and cans, so I figured I would throw my veterans right into the orks and try to get enough objectives to win while the veterans died horribly. In a sense the plan worked, because I was slightly ahead on objectives, but it just wasn't enough to pull out the win.

I also brought a very unconventional list, heavy in pyromancy psykers and with no AV14. It was a nice change of pace to try out the psykers, even if they didn't do all that much damage, but they're probably better used giving a footguard blob prescience. The hellhounds were great as always, but the manticore totally failed to do anything.

Good game! I can't wait for next month when I can (hopefully) bring along my own troops.

@Konrad: Thanks! The smoke loses some of its effect when it's on top of an unpainted chimera, but my burning leman russes look a lot better. ... Wait, no, that's not a good look at all.
You can't spell slaughter without laughter.

Thanks Mike for the BA Moderns experience. NATO learned not to underestimate "Putin Power" (and not to underestimate the Hind!).

And thanks Lovejoy for demoing Dredd. While it was a very one-sided game (sorry Prim!), it was a good little taste of the ruleset. Who knew 10 sided dice rolled '10' so often?

Have you enjoyed 40K game with beginners club member yesterday?

Yes, we had a great time :) The Dark Angels sent in their best terminators to take down the Tyranid Tervigon and prevent her from spawning termagaunts that could overwhelm the defenses with their numbers and assail the Necron held bastion - though we never did establish what they were protecting! :) The terminators were successful and their sacrifice  will be remembered by the Hive Mind! Unfortunately, the necrons thought it safer to stay in their well defended tower than come the aid of the humans - after all, that is what slaves are for, protecting their masters. :) I am sure the Dark Angels will seek vengeance for the betrayal.

A fun time! I look forward to more games with the beginner club memebers and hope they can join Nagoya Hammer 2015. :)

Luckily the Americans could come back and win the next round under the command of Colonel Kojibear. A special mention must be made of the brave and noble Abrams Tank that successfully distracted the Russians and sacrificed their lives so that the marines could rescue the all but 1 of the journalists. But not to worry the Navy Seals ditched their helicopter successfully after being shot down and pretended to flee off the board but in actuality are behind enemy lines hunting down the cameraman before he can talk - I mean seeking the cameraman to bring back safely home. Well this is how Fox news will report it ;) ;) :D

Thanks to Mike for a fun time. Look forward to trying it again. :)
