It was great to see you Gents again after such a long time. Thanks very much to Prim for bringing Hail Caesar! What a game. The hand to hand combat rules are very interesting. Also thanks for introducing me to Burger King in Japan! That was a rare treat. It was good to see some Gorkamorka and Strange Aeons being played also.
I took some pics of the game and showed my Dad, he said it looked fasinating and very real! He's not a gamer and not usually interested in these things so take that as a compliment. Great job on the minis Prim.
I'm keen to get Pike and Shotte finished now, but I always say that. Great morning of gaming. It was good to roll some dice again. Romans Vs Celts, I was the Romans and got hammered by a load of naked Britons, they held their ground for a while and it was one hell of a scrap but ultimately they were crushed. This region of Avalon remains in the hands of the Britons for another day. They must have had some special kind training or consumed a magic potion. Ye Gads! Join the legion they said, see the world they said. By Jupiter.

Good to see you again Ash. Hail Caesar looks pretty impressive, like the old sandal and toga Epics. Should watch Ben Hur and Spartacus again. Never go around to Cleopatra actually, Heard the sea battle in that is something.
And many thanks to Auxryn, for once again giving me the opportunities to win the battle and lose the war and pull defeat from the jaws of victory. After a most satisfying Gorkamorka duel, the post game saw me lose yet another Shaman. Strange Aeons game one ended with me running out of Ghouls before Aux ran out of bullets. Game two saw the Brigadier miscalculate a minion's charge range by a mere fraction of an inch, just enough to see him, and then his team pulled down with only one....more.....turn......needed to make their escape...almost....there....... augh....... A most cinematic defeat anyhow. Strange Aeons is a fun game. The campaign system is quite unique and I am looking forward to how it plays out. Not quite as competitive as fighting a rival warband like in Mordheim or Dredd.

It was fun playing HC again. Thanks for the game, Ashmie.

It was funny listening to the GorkaMorka game at the next table where Auxryn and Konrad seemed to be working their way through a thesaurus, trying to find words that meant "crash"!

"It's a collision"
"No, I think it might be a sideswipe"
"Could we call it a fender bender"
"I'm pretty sure it's a shunt"

For a game filled with Orks, it seemed pretty pedantic at times.

Well the problem was they don't spell it propa' like wiv a "K". And yes, Gorkamorka is not exactly the tightest of rule sets. Lots of situations are not really spelled out and you have to sort of make it up as you go along.
