If we can streamline the dice pull mechanic, a mega game would be my preference. Maybe even something as simple as 2 sets of dice (one per side) and when pulled, every player on that side gets an activation?

A big table would also really allow for a lot of armour and maneuvering.

Duly noted. Any other opinions?

How about 2or3 biggish tables? Using variations on the various attacker/defender scenarios from the books.

Table 1: Cobra - American armour attacking across fairly open terrain. Germans start with <50 infantry only etc. rest comes on from reserve

Table 2: Carentan - Paras vs FJ in urban terrain

Table 3: Caen - Brits (and Canucks) vs hidden SS/Heer with Tigers etc in farmland with lots of hedges, some bocage.

It would need 6bplayers minimum. Slightly bigger forces than usual, say 1500pts+ per side, per table so we can get more goodies on. And just so the games aren't just separate one on ones, how about the events on the tables giving bonuses or minuses to neighboring tables e.g. Slow progress by the Brits in Caen gives the Germans an SS Tiger. What say you savages?

I like Yellowstreak and Mike's ideas, though if I had to choose between the two, I would probably veer to the side of a big table. I enjoy the team work and camaraderie of that aspect - the decisions and negotiations made together. The idea of drawing either an axis or ally die and then each player on that side getting a move sounds good.

Though, as I said, I think Mike's 3 table plan is a solid option, too.

I'm cool with either. I like both options for the stated reasons above.

As for terrain, I cane bring some of the usual hills, orchard, trees, a bit of low bocage/hedges, paved road and crop fields.

The first post has been updated with some extra info.

@Job - Thanks for the input and offer of terrain. Much appreciated.

I didn't mention terrain, but I think you know what I have...

Houses (intact and ruined), roads, forest/trees, bocage, river and a couple of bridges (1 stone, 1 steel), some fields, hills, and several large concrete bunkers (from Dust) like the below:

Oh and I can lend out my FJ if required (planning on running my 82nd airborne again unless we have player imbalance). But not to MtP if he's going to keep rolling so well against me!

Ooh, a bunker or two? :D
I can use them!
How much space do they have inside? Enough for a 100mm X 50mm base?

I'll check tonight. They're fairly roomy.
