The Ruckster Rant - Warning contains trash talk

Post by Primarch » Tue Sep 14, 2010 11:49 am

I'm eyeing up a Dark Eldar army, but at the same time, those new "old" marines Forge World are producing are distracting me. May start a thread in the painting/modelling forum about that.....
Hmmm what to do, what to do?

On one hand I am disapointed, as it means more stinkin panzys in the universe, which is a bad thing. But on the other hand is a powerklaw, which means more panzys to snip up into little panzy pieces, which is a good thing. Though with codex creep I imagine the entire army will all be able to 1st-turn-deep-strike-without-deviating-and-charge-with-a-gazillion-poisoned-rending-furious-charging-attacks. I hope modeling-wise, they end up more than guardians with spikes. I always loved the DE bikes and skimmers, some of the coolest looking vehicles in 40K, paired with some of the crappiest looking infantry.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

I couldnt agree about the infantry more, but I found the skimmers to be rather uninspiring. The Bikes were nice though. Hopefully the new range will be sleeker, more dynamic and have a few less spikes.

The thing the Madmiral needs to know is that Pike knows full well that he bought Dungeon Lord's DE army a while ago. However he does wonder why they have never seen the light of day since. If the Madmiral is so into "Pirates and slavers and flying transports" why doesn't he play them instead of Blood Angels, an army he has said, on more than one occasion, that he finds abhorrent and he would never play.

We all know that Badruck would never say "abhorrent."

that makes Prime a consistent band Wagon Jumper... good man.

I would like to point out that I have not really even read the Ork Codex yet       and every army I have ever made I have bought before I ever read the rules or looked at the codex or army book.

@Madmiral: You may have bought the wagon, but leaving it in the garage, gathering dust until you find out how much cheese it can carry says a lot about ya

BTW why would you need to read the Ork codex? It only contains things like rulz an' stuff. :D And with the good folks over at Dakka Dakka writing your army lists for you, you don't evenhave to bother opening it at all. If you keep it in good condition you can sell it when Orks fall from favour and still get a good price.

I'm pretty sure that's not entirely true mate. You had a pretty good idea of what was in the BA codex before you decided to use that for your World Eaters.
