Are those the new marines?

How did you get them early?
Most shops (all over the world) who do physical pre-orders actually get the stuff a couple days early. They're not technically *supposed* to let people pick their stuff up early (I was asked not to share pictures of the rulebook I got on Thursday on Twitter, for example) but it's pretty common practice.

I think the *only* times I've gotten pre order stuff on the nominal street date rather than early was buying from GW shops. I didn't mind at the time because I was playing a lot at the Melbourne store, they were good folk and I was happy to pay the premium, but waiting through a couple of days of everyone else on the internet having it already sucked 😅

@Jye- I do dig those new big-a-shield marines. Are they the "Indomitus" in the name? Would be a fun painting project to bling up one of those.

Those are called Bladeguard. "Indomitus" is technically the name of the entire Crusade that was going on for all of 8th as well? Dunno why this box picked it up.

The Bladeguard are *dead hard* though, "Indomitable" is a perfectly legit name for them. Not going to lie, I'm usually exasperated with people complaining about Primaris releases (it didn't help that much for the first 2/3rds of 8th), but this time they are absolute crackers. Beautiful minis and very strong rules. I'm scheming how to get an extra set of them, and may just end up buying a second box and dealing with having a bunch of Necrons - on the off chance anyone is willing to split a box and doesn't want the Marines, give me a yell.

I bashed through my second daemon engine, this adorable little Blight-Hauler, over the past couple few days.

(The light green foam flock was probably a mistake - it may not last the day.)

Why are Nurgle daemon engines so cute? I think I want three.

Nice work. You're really churning out those Nurgle units.

He's adorable! I'd love to give him a pat. From a distance. With a lascannon.

Seriously though, the yellow skin looks great - really unsettling, which is good for a nurgle daemon engine.

@ToD- Once again, utterly revolting color choices. Keep up the good work.

I have not been doing a lot of hobby-ing these days. But take a look at this crazy monster my daughter made! She assures me it is "cute" and "otonashii". Thank goodness, I was thinking it was "feral" and "possibly poisonous".

So naturally....

Really reminded me of the old Monster Manual, so I downloaded a copy and am looking forward to scrolling through that with her. "This is called a "Rust Monster" and this is an "Owl-bear".... :mrgreen:

@Konrad

That's amazing! The drawing does look like old Monster Manuals for sure.
