I may be coming to Japan in October. Let me know if you want me to bring a set and I will if I can.The Other Dave wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 2:42 pm@Jye: Ooh, I like that color scheme!
Aside from eBay, no - and B&N isn't even shipping internationally these days. (Hence having my sister send it to me.) It's a shame, since you hear really good things about the game.Balloonacorn wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 12:40 pmCan you get Blitz Bowl anywhere other than ordering it direct from B&N?

Of second edition? I may have to take you up on that if you have room in your luggage.YellowStreak wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 8:59 pmI may be coming to Japan in October. This is really a conversion project I’ve been working on for the last 4 months, but it got stuck as I looked for a source of cork wood. Anyway, if I need a second Dark Apostle.

The Dark Apostle look really cool. Is that a third eye on his forehead? I can't wait to see it fully painted up.
I painted my first Kroot today and it was pretty fun. The various details made it easy to paint and I think I did a decent job with the cape too. Unfortunately I forgot to texture the base before I primed it so I'll need to go back and do something about basing.
Now I'm just hoping they release some new Kroot with the Tau codex for 9th and make them worth taking in terms of rules.

Re: What did you do today.
That's a nice looking Kroot. It is a shame he isn't as impactful in 40K as Daedalosus is, though he's decent in his home game.
Re: What did you do today.
He used to be a fun add-on in 8th but now he costs almost as much as a squad of infantry and competes with battlesuits for an elite slot so I probably won't be fielding him anytime soon. Anyway I paint plenty of things that never get fielded so that's not an issue. I really enjoyed painting a character model instead of all the mass produced stuff I usually paint and now I'm eying up Aby and Ghaz. It seems like a bit of a leap from Dahyak Grekh though so maybe I'll practice with some othe Ork/CSM characters.
Other than that I also finally got around to painting that 3D printed Rhino of mine (at 1am for some reason...) and while up close the layer lines are pretty obvious it should look pretty decent on the tabletop.

@Job - Nice conversion, are those robot horses I see in the background?
@Karantu - The kroot looks great. The subdued colours for the skin and the clothing go well with the darker cloak.
Yesterday I finished off some more Normans.

A Dwarf mage.

And for no particular reason, a Black Templar, (which seems really glossy, though I don't know why).

Re: What did you do today.

Scythes scheme is too hard, planning to slowly pivot to Giants.
(In all seriousness Black Templar and Iyanden Yellow aren't a great combination at my skill level/preference for throughput over quality because the latter cannot cover any mistakes with the former, and I make a lot of mistakes. No big deal as long as they pass as same army though)
That's all the models I need to paint for this month, but I still have plenty of rebasing to do!

Also I love shiny Rhino and punchy Templar. Also imagine Dwarves would make cracking Wizards as long as they leaned into beard synergies.
