I don't even know the next one yet so you might as well just put on fake mustache and submit another one. (Don't though since I did limit it to one submission per person.) Feel free to repost the same model again though if you decide to repaint him again in the time it takes us mortals to get through one submission.
Gauntlet 2.0

Re: Gauntlet 2.0
Thanks guys! Those minis were really fun to paint. This is a really good way to get stuff you need to paint done. Can we make one submission but include shots of it from different angles?
@Prim: bonus points for theme. I didn't that line was attributed to Huron, That's pretty bad ass.
Re: Gauntlet 2.0
Got my entry finished up pretty early this time. It's not very interesting or unique, but I've been wanting to get this painted for a while and this month's theme gave me the perfect excuse. An Imperial Guard Manticore!

Re: Gauntlet 2.0
I’m not quite there yet, but hoooopefully I should be able to squeak in tomorrow with my entry for this. Well, I say tomorrow. Later today would be more accurate, it being 2am...
Anyway, hopefully the late night painting will have been worth it. Just gotta paint a pilot and wait for some paint to dry now...

Ha ha, my first time throwing my hat in the ring and I get hit with painting malaise and don't make it.

Feel free to call me Dave!
Re: Gauntlet 2.0
Well I didn't manage to finish my entry but I kinda like where I'm at so far so I'm just going to post it anyway.

I'll be sure to post pictures of it on the usual thread once its actually done, whenever that is.

That's awesome @Karantu

Here's my entry, about the most gun from the gauntlet period I can fit into one photo.
Hope the next theme works for Drukhari

Re: Gauntlet 2.0
Righty! I managed to finish in time. Phew. So, I painted up the biggest gun I had in my collection. In association with Vaul'She Craftworld, may I present for your consideration:
The Brightlance!

Well known for shooting lasery holes in anything the eldar don't approve of (i.e. most things that aren't other eldar, and even then it can be a close run thing), the brightlance can be found on many Eldar vehicles, from the highly mobile war walker, to the common-as-muck Guardian support platforms. Wherever it appears, you can bet the enemy will be hiding their armoured...what's that Mr. Farseer, sir? It's not the brightlance we're here to show the nice people? Oh, silly me...
*ahem* *clears throat*
Iiiiiin association with Vaul'She Craftworld, may I present for your consideration:
The Cobra!

The largest gun in the eldar army (that isnt mounted on a Phantom Titan, at least, and even then the D-Cannon might be bigger. I haven't got a Phantom, so I can't measure em up to be sure.)
Anyway, armed with nowt but a teeny weeny Brightlance and a definitely-not-teeny-weeny D-cannon, the Cobra is the Eldar's answer to pretty much everything. Enemy has a unit of elite troops? Fazzoom. Now they dont. Enemy has a gargant? Fazzzooom. Now they don't. Enemy has a demi-god incarnate? Fazzoom...meh, you get the picture.
Honestly, I have no idea how D-cannon this big work in the current edition of 40k, but when this bugger was first released it was pie plate so big there wasnt actually a template for it, and it killed basically anything it touched. And to add insult to injury, it didnt even need line of sight. Eh, when I were a lad, they had real dakka...
Anyway, here's a couple more pics.
The end that you absolutely do not want pointing at you.

A close-up of the marble effect, for no other reason than I'm quite pleased with it.

The Cobra: So big I had to do this to fit it all in frame. No really, it was a massive pain in the arse to photograph this.

So, I hope y'all like it. Now to put it back in the box and never let it see the light of day again. (Unless somebody really wants to play against it some time? Let me know if you do
)

Re: Gauntlet 2.0
That's fantastic MIJ, amazing effort!
Happy to play against it any time, assuming Retributors, Eradicators and Thunder Hammers aren't nerfed in the meantime
