Oooh, nice! Love that marble effect. (The whole thing is awesome, of course.)
Feel free to call me Dave!

Even though we obviously have a well deserved winner here's round 4's voting link. Voting is open until the end of the 25th.

これで今月のコンテストも終了になりましたので、こちらで好きなエントリーに投票してください。投票の締め切りは4/25です。

Anyway, moving on to the next round.
Round 5's theme is...
では、来月のテーマは...

Just as Planned (計画通り)
TL's Note: 計画 means plan

I was thinking that maybe something like a cunning strategist or something of that sort would fit this theme but you could also go for models from a particularly sneaky faction(e.g. Skaven). The usual rules apply and the deadline for round 5 is May 23rd so go ahead and throw in one submission of anything you paint in that timespan that you think fits the theme.

Fashionably late as always, here are the results for round 4.
Thank you to everyone who dropped in an entry and those who voted as well.

1st - M_i_J's Cobra - 30pts
2nd - Matt's Imperial Guard Manticore - 13pts
3rd - Primarch's Lufgt Huron - 9pts

You can see the complete results here.

Congratulations to M_i_J with his amazing entry which was undoubtedly the biggest gun in whole contest by a long stretch. With those lovely marble panels and that clean and deliberate paint job its no surprise that you've managed to top the current high score (previously held by by Jus for a month with his Imperial Nobles who scored 28pts) . Anyway, I look forward to seeing some more knife-ears in the next round too.

P.S. The high score obviously depends on how many people have voted so is pretty much rigged but that's just life.

Thank you everyone for choosing size over substance :D And thank you Karantu for running the gauntlet, as that Cobra has been sitting unpainted for literally over a decade. Here’s to the next round! (Which I most likely won’t be entering, btw, as I have zero idea of what I have that’d be appropriate, plus I’m super into minecraft just now. Weird but true. It’s an oddly peaceful game, tbh...
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

I'm glad The Gauntlet 2.0: Electric boogaloo was enough to get you to paint the Cobra. The main purpose of this whole "contest" is to help some of us work through our backlogs and to help others paint things that might not be the most competitive at the moment so it sounds like its working. Anyway, the theme is supposed to be a rough guideline so feel free to paint anything you find suitable and just shoehorn it in.

Minecraft is a horrible time sink... For some reason which I do not understand I ended up setting up a server for my younger relatives and now am forced to play with them multiple times a week. Its pure chaos when the person I'm playing with can't even read but the rest of the time I'd agree that its pretty peaceful.

This is my entry for this month: an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor. I figure they're all about cunning, devious planning and unexpected surprises.

This one happens to be Inquisitor Lucian Thule. My own character from my 40k crusade. He finally has his own model now instead of being proxied by Coteaz!
