It seems that those warlocks, like many GW figures these days, come equipped with tactical rocks. They look okay I guess, but like the guardians before they are at the lower end of the hype scale.
As for the warhound, it may just be the static pose, but it looks kind of short and stumpy, rather than the nimble scout that the warhound class usually is. Nice to see FW experimenting a little though.

The datasheet for the Avatar has been a-leaked, so we do have that to look forward to! (And rules-wise, it's back to its 2nd-edition terrifying beastiness, looks like.)

Warhounds: gotta agree with Prim on this - scout titans should look a bit more nimble, or stalking-hunter-y. In fact, I don't think I approve of giving them big dakka at all. It's like trying to have your cake and eat it. Either be a big mofo with chonky blastaz or be a scout titan. Ya can't be both. Honestly, kids these days

Warlocks: are warlocks. I like them better than the guardians, but they were never going to be super exciting. As an aside, while I realise this is not only highly unlikely but would also be a huuuge pain in the ass for anyone who plays eldar, I'd quite like to see eldar looking a bit taller. If they were going to redesign the faction (and they won't, nor do they really need to) they could do a lot worse than leaning into the "just different enough to a normal human to look uncanny" side of things. Like, eyes that are just a smidge too big. Slightly too tall and slender. Bigger, pointier ears, kinda thing. Eh, just a thought.

Going to soup them with Drukhari, so the performance threshold to at least earn grudging respect from their Commarrite peers is going to be *pretty high*.

The other option is to just buy more Drukhari and I don't think anyone wants that (I wonder if anyone in the Trade channel has some spare Talos rattling around...)

Not sure if I would say it's an experimental design exactly. ED-209? I had a couple of the old lead ones and they were pretty cool.

@MIJ- And yeah, I'd like to see the space elves look a bit more inhuman. A bit of spooky "greys" sort of thing or something. I mean, I've been making fun of those Jes Goodwin topknots for more than 30 years now. Give me something new!

Ok, more constructively: the pose is fine. The face is...probably fine. Jury's still out on that. The sword seems small? The fire I don't like, but I'm generally not a fan of sculpted fire. Why is his actual hand not covered in blood? He seems...annoyed. He should look fething furious (for a great example of this, see the FW bloodthirster. Now there's an angry boy.)

Overall, it gets a 7/10. Not terrible, but for a flaming plasmic incarnation of the pent up fury of a bunch of eternally suppressed emo kids, he's a bit...polite looking?

2nd thoughts: his pose and general demeanour is a bit too "follow me...to victory!" for my liking. That's not what avatars do. They're literal rage daemons, who send all eldar anywhere near them into fits of berserker fury. There is no "together, we can defeat any foe! For the craftworld!" kind of thing. It's all just "ggggrrraaaarrrgh ripandtear!!!!!"

This mini does not convey that.
