Purple in particular was a bit of a challenge until Luxion Purple came along. All the others seem like they have more particular uses (being very light or dark) whereas even from the start colours like Blood Angels Red, Skeleton Horde and Snakebite Leather could just be slapped on anything.

Re: What did you do today.
Purple and yellow are definitely the two colors they didn't quite "get" with the first Contrast formulations - not that they're super-reliable colors in most other ranges, either.
I finished up a unit of skirmishing Rifles for my 6mm Napoleonics while I wait for some new stuff to get in.
Now I find myself once again tempted to spend the 2000 yen I'd need to for limbers for all my artillery, just for completeness' sake. That's cheap enough as to be essentially nothing and there's room in the case, so there's not much reason not to, I guess.

Nice miniature miniatures @tod!
The concept for these two, Vernon and Welles, is really cool, but putting them together and painting them is kurushii-tier... Glad to be onto the next thing
p.s. after bending everything else into place, I still couldn't get her to grab the steering wheel.

I haven't posted anything for a while because I haven't been doing a lot of painting recently.
I have finished off a demi-squad of Novamarines.
This puts me about 40% of my planned army and at about 2% of my remaining will to live.

🫡 Well done, chief. Honestly, I'm feeling bad about suggesting the quartered scheme. But I'm impressed you're seeing it through. Much respect.
As for me, I've been painting space marines, building flayed ones, and painting bases. Loooots of bases.

Trying to get some models painted before game day.
My original goal for the weekend was to finish the two gray guys, but the goo was really fast and fun to paint. Just slosh around some purple for an hour or two, gloss varnish it, and paint the little shovel and he's done.

Re: What did you do today.
Actually did a bit of puttying last weekend. First time in a long time. Nothing actually game related. A few Christmases ago I sculpted a little character my daughter made up. The other day she asked how I did it, and we sat down together and I started showing her. Got thing up to the first layer of green stuff.
@Grant- Oh god, that putrescent, livid, glistening, monstrous hue! Talk about your Color Out Of Space.

Re: What did you do today.
That's some fine painting as always @Grantholomeu - particularly love the colours on the goo.
Speaking of Grant's fine painting, I always feel good when I'm going to play Nurgle because I already have an awesome army he painted and I don't have to drag the side down by painting anything myself. Then I always go and screw it up in the list building stage somehow.
I am now up to 39 models I painted due that error for this month's game day alone. Most of the things on the field will still be Grant's but Terminus Est requires an awful lot of boots/tentacles/gribbly appendages on the ground.
It will be 40 with just one more Poxwalker.

Re: What did you do today.
And this is that Poxwalker!
I now have sunk cost fallacy on this Terminus Est list so I hope folks are eager to team up and take on 100PL of them. They are, I promise, really bad. I charged a squad of Poxwalkers into Surg's Thunderwolf Cavalry on TTS the other night and did precisely zero damage
Re: What did you do today.
Random space marine from getting started magazine(?), testing out colour scheme for space wolves
