Polished off the last of the Leviathan marines (while listening to the Leviathan book, so I know who some of these guys are!), including the teleport homer I forgot to do with the Termies and a bonus Vindicare that helped me use up some spare Yodobashi points.

Also found time to paint a Plague Marine!

Gladiator Lancer, which are now real good for the points, and completes my set of them.

We're almost at the point where "things I want to paint for 10th" and "things I actually have primed" are starting to diverge though, and the weather does not look cooperative.

Storm Speeder 2/3

(This one is now my favourite since it gives the rest of the army +1 to wound a vehicle or monster target, and might do a bit of damage to them itself. The AP buff on the Hailstrike is probably better but this one restores the Eradicators to something like their former glory)

today, I found out that warhammmer Imperium is still on general release here in japan, and is at issue 25. As someone who's current 40k interests currently centre on picking up cheap 'crons and ultramarines for the kiddoes, all I can say is...

LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

(I bought 3 issues for about 6500 yen, total. That's actually quite a bit for me given my current financial situation (ie. rooked, and paying for a family trip to scotland over the summer) but, for that I got 5 flayed ones, a tomb spyder, and that bloody nice primaris psyker guy with a headache. retail value: 18,300yen. Satisfaction level: high.)

*edit* As term time is starting to wind down, I actually had a smidge of time today, and read some death guard novels. The urge to paint is starting to tickle, just at the back of me head. I shall do some more reading tomorrow, I hope...
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Yeah not every issue is a winner, but when they are they're a goldmine. Nice going!

The Elucidian Starstriders! Being a cheap option for 40k finally got them over the line but their real home is Kill Team.

Lots of trim for one little squad though 😓

Finished up that blight hauler the other day, but something about the combination of the typhus corrosion I used to get some grimy texture on the armor panels and the lighting I used made the pictures turn out weird (kinda sparkly - I think the gritty bits from the typhus caught the light oddly). I'll try again and see if I can't make it work out. Looks like my previous one, though.

I also started on the batch of plague marines I'll need to bulk out my DG force (in a for-now extremely non-points-efficient way, but I'm a: not really worried about winning anyway, and b: counting on a balance pass before too long since by all accounts the army's in a pretty bad place), and had fun this morning with working up rust textures. Nothing like a model that makes you think you'll get tetanus if you touch it wrong!

Aside from that, I'm basically just obsessing over the forthcoming Epic release, as my continuous posting in that thread will attest. :?

@Jye - Impressive output, I think you're single-handedly going to turn back Hive Fleet Leviathan at this rate.

I've mainly been on a building/repairing/recycling kick these past couple of weeks. Minis that have been languishing in boxes (in some cases for decades) have been dragged out into the light of day, cleaned up, fixed and repurposed. My table is covered in bits boxes, 28mm limbs and groupings of models as they get assigned to various projects. Good times.
It looks like I may have to do some painting this month as a friend of mine who runs an RPG group has asked for a few minis to use during Obon and it gives me a good excuse to get the dust blown off another old project...
