Knights are done!
Image
A couple of Castigators, with their rapid-fire bolt cannons, and
Image
a couple of Acherons, with their giant flame cannon jobbers.
Again, both of these are things that are not super-useful against, say, Warlords, but which should be pretty scary against infantry.

Those are some very spiffy Knights!

I don't think I'll bother to finish off my primed backlog before the weather turns and I can prime some higher priority stuff, but a few more squads should get across the line.

Austera and Twigge for Malifaux. I think all I have left to complete my Jedza crew is the lamplighters, but there are three of them and I think they have plaid clothing... :(

I love your bases. The whole model, of course, but the bases are on point!

I'm chewing through my painting hiatus backlog with the Gnarlspirit Pack, recently-dethroned boogiemen of the Underworlds meta.

I really am starting to feel like I'm dialing in on a reliable process for Contrast NMM, although yellow metals can be a little flakey (a dash of nihilakh oxide will probably do the trick, as I think about it). Parents are visiting for a bit, so my painting may slow back down again.

Some beautiful models in this thread!

Got a bit of priming done when I was back in Ireland!

Priming in Ireland is definitely the correct decision in August  Getting the whole box done in one go is pro work!

Finished these off a few days ago but got too distracted by Armored Core 6 to post a photo.

AC6 is *very* good.

It involves fewer feral smurfs than this Underworlds team.

One last bit of Darkest Dungeon for a bit, the Countess (the main boss of the Crimson Court zone). It's a neat model! From the front...

She looks kind of sinister, what with the blood, but still like a lady in a dress. But from the side...

Holy carp!

I just have one alternate sculpt to paint to finish up the set, and I've got it all primed and preshaded, but may put it aside a bit because I'm not too jazzed about painting it. I do have some underworlds warbands all primed up, though, so the train will probably keep running!
That is so hideous! October would be a good season for another round of Darkest Dungeon, wouldn't it?
I have been soooo out of hobbying this summer. Just so hot and and I just had no energy. I think I did one day of puttering around with the Turnip 28 regiment. Been doing a lot of dorking around with AI images. Making character sketches and things for our DnD game with it. Really scary how fast it is improving.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Definitely want to play again, but I might wait til the new year so various new releases calm down a bit.
