@ToD - Nice looking Slaaneshy types.

Well, after a really busy couple of weeks, I finally managed to grab some time with a brush this afternoon and did a spot of work on the Romans that have been sat on my desk for a while now. They are getting to the stage where I can see them being finished with just a few more hours work.

Well, today I spent some time applying varnish and basing materials to the Romans. I just need to paint and flock the bases and they are done. I also started on a unit of Lizardmen and I assembled half a dozen orks.

I've been plugging away at a unit of Seekers for my hedonite spearhead - they've got a lot going on, and embody every reason I wouldn't want to do a full army of these jerks, but should look real nice when they're done in a day or so. Then just two more relatively small units and I'll be good to go!

Got back from a business trip to India (which was *cooler*, why Japan) and finished off this Lord Invocatus. Not sure I can get the full World Eaters force done this month but progress is resuming.

Also I'm not sure how many people are on PS5 but I picked up Astro Bot and it is *great*. I'm going to be like Dave trying to get people to watch Arcane on this one, it is delightful.

Astro Bot, eh? I'm still saving up for Darkest Dungeon 2 (and Space Marine 2!) but I'll put it on my wishlist!

Et voila!

Still working on white metal / chrome-ish NMM, but looking almost like crystal also works for Chaos.

I've heard good things, but I'm over here on PC just starting Forbidden West, so that's me covered for the next wee while. Good lord but that game is pretty. My son also got WWE 2K2024 and it's surprisingly engaging, even for an old geezer like me whose only interaction with pro wrestling was twenty odd years ago when it was on telly after I came back from a night out. It's very smooth and playable. My son, of course, kicks my bum every time, but that's kinda par for the course with vidya games these days.

Also, @jye while my heart belongs to nurgle, I've always loved juggernauts of khorne. They're just so...chonky. I'd pay good money for a scene in a movie where a bunch of em ride over a hill and charge down it at some some poor schmucks cowering at the bottom.

And @dave which is not to say I don't appreciate a nice slaaneshi paint job. Those riders are looking good, especially their weapons, actually. I still feel the current iteration of steeds lack the weird "sexy but ew" vibe of the originals, but that's target demographics for ya, I suppose.

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

The fiends are still kind of "sexy but ew" (many many breasts), I think with the steeds they're going more for "glorious proud mounts with beautiful streaming manes" and so on, so they're not just "fiends with fewer legs that people also ride".

Plus it should be said, their necks are rather... veiny on the underside.
