wotcher, all. I'm still here, and still painting, albeit slowly, as per usual. Hopefully I'll have something to show over the weekend, as I'm slowly chipping away at my remaining dark eldar, whilst also printing off more x-wing stuff and other bits and bobs.

Also, I've had my eye on this kickstarter (Trench Crusade). Any interest from other folks? Feel free to respond in the other thread so as not to clog up this one.

Anyway, happy painting, y'all. I'm (ironically, gaming) busy on the 24th, but maybe I can make it up to Nagoya for the December game day. Fingers crossed...

Dragon Age is doing an excellent job of slowing my painting, but has not entirely stopped it.

Looking choppy, Jye.

Sadly, all my painty plans came to naught, thanks to a nasty cold that saw me good for pretty much nothing all weekend. Still pretty lurgied today, tbh.

Ah well, maybe tomorrow?

Hey, do you guys have any ideas for things to use as a base for terrain? I found a Tamiya "Brick Wall Set" which actually has a lot of potential despite only having been 440円.The thing is I'd need something strong enough to weather being transported but thin enough it wouldn't disrupt the battlefield in a game. I think several small bases for the different sections would be best.

You can get sheets of plastic made by Tamiya from Joshin. There are various thicknesses available, so you can choose what you think will work best. It is what I used to base these guys:

Some packets have two sheets inside (depending on thickness), so it can be quite reasonable. To cut it, you'll need a box cutter knife and multiple passes, but you can cut each piece to fit. I found filing the edges helped too.

You can also get sheets of MDF at Daiso, which are cheap, sturdy, and resist warping - I used a bunch for the Epic terrain I rebased earlier this year:

They came in a pack of like 4 or 5 A5 sheets for 100 yen. Rectangles suited my urban terrain board just fine but you could cut them into ovals or whatever with minimal work.

1935 points!

Unfortunately the only 65 point unit in World Eaters is 10 more of these guys.

Skaven du jour.

They arrived at 7pm, later than I hoped, but they got done.

Speaking of, Jye and I went up to the Osu Warhammer store today for a day-after-edition-launch-day Underworlds event. We had a really good turnout, good time had by all. Now I just need to drag myself away from Darkest Dungeon 2 for a bit and get some painting done!
