Venom
Talos/Chronos?
Wracks?
Scourges?
Voidraven?
Razorwing?

Looks like the Grotesques will be metal a-la Ogryns, as will the Archon's court and the Beastmasters as they would be difficult to make unit boxes for in plastic.

I reckon, for what its worth:

plastic: Venom, flyer 1, flyer 2, wracks (cos theyre troops, or can be.)

metal: 5-in-a-box : scourges, beastmaster+basic beasts, archon's court (with a really annoying mix of types)

metal box: Talos (still available on-line, while everything else has been pulled. Maybe no re-design for this lad.) Chronos.

metal blister: other beasts, grotesques, maybe other archon's court stuff, if theyre feeling nice. Otherwise folks'd need to buy multiple box sets if they wanted, say, 3 slyth or 3 medusa types.

and single blister special chars, except perhaps Drahzar, as he is also still available online, so maybe no redesign.

Actually it came out on saturday.

Grotesques look like tall, muscular humanoids with lots of mechanical parts, metal helmets and what not. You could probably use OK models for them, but they wouldnt look anywhere near the same.

so you would have to convert the hell out of them...

Well yeah, you could just put down Ogre Kingdom models and say they are grotesques, but they would look like Ogres. You'd have to do something.
The other thing though is that unlike orks, who can bolt bits of anything to anything, Dark Eldar have a much more sleek and sinister design.

Or you can wait until they get released (hopefully by June next year).

you do not think much of my modeling skills do you prime... will I guess it would be up to me to prove to the world that I can do more than ork stuff Marines stuff and Nurgle stuff and Chaos stuff... be best complement IMHO is when no one notices that there has been any work done on a model... but in this case I would have to say I will try and show you... if may take a while as I am really out of cash right now... but as soon as I can get 10,000 in the black I will have to build some of these Grotesquse and see if I can dispel the idea that I just strap plates and bolts to things and say it is orky...

Go for it, dude - regardless of what others may say, I reckon you have a ver' creative brain when it comes to conversions.

One thing Id be wary of though is that in order to be a good conversion (in my opinion) is that it must be done according to the pre-defined "look" of the army. E.g. with eldar there must be NO chunkiness, NO chips or damage NO loose bits falling off. I'm not saying that this is what you usually do (and im not being sarcastic here, just in case the no-intonation-on-the-net issue raises its ugly head) I'm just saying that if you plan on doing a Dark Eldar conversion then you will NEED to read the codex first and look at a lot of the artwork for them. Look at the entire mini range and see what ties it together. Theyre not chaos, theyre not Eldar. Theyre Dark Eldar. What defines that? Once you have a clear idea (and you dont, at the moment, because I know you havent read the codex yet), then you can think about making some Grotesques.

Thats my tuppenceworth, anyway.

And, for what its worth, id like to see what you could do if you actually sat down for a month or two and worked on painting one single mini the whole time.

But you do just strap plates and bolts to things and say it is orky. At least, when you make ork stuff, thats what you do. Your conversions all look good, dont get me wrong, I just haven't seen you do anything that was as stylized as the eldar.
