NIce title M_i_J!!!
Looks like an interesting idea, though I'm sure its not really going to end the conflict in Afghanistan overnight. And its only 35000 dollars!

Amazing! As they said in the article, "It's a game changer".

Now if only the terrorists sit still long enough for you calculate the extra distance. And if only it didn't cost the same as around 100 AK-47s. And if only you could shoot IEDs and roadside bombs with this thing. And if only the terrorists didn't use Dragunov sniper rifles which out range these new bolters.

I think the "UN" forces in Afghanistan need to take a leaf out of a certain someone's book on strategy and instigate "the systematic destruction of crops and slaughtering of livestock, the burning down of homesteads and farms, and the poisoning of wells and salting of fields—to prevent them from resupplying from a home base many tens of thousands of women and children were forcibly moved into the concentration camps" :o
A cookie for whoever who can tell us who, when and why for the above.

Disclaimer: I do not actually advocate any of the above. I am just in rant mode and wish to get on my soapbox for a spell, but you know the internets, someone will take it seriously so my legal team has advised me to add these :) :) :)

A cookie for the Spevna.

Actually it was the Spanish and Americans that first put them into use. The Brits just took the idea and 'improved' it

As an aside, in the next wee while the current Un 'intervention' in Afghanistan will have lasted as long as the Soviet 'invasion'

I also noticed that it was partly the brain child of Lord Kitchener. Two big claims to fame for that man then!

History is written by the victors, and occasionally by those who have invented literacy.

Frightening. They sound thrilled about it right now, but they won't be once their enemies get the funds to use it against them.
