Well there is a certain Tau Player that would say they can take down Nids in Apoc. as long as they get Bunkers... I have lost to them when they had bunkers in Planet Strike... and truth be told they are not that bad when they have a tooled up for what they are fighting... just wish they were a little better at getting away from sweeping advance...

sounds like excuses to me... but I think you may be right that Tau are not as bad as all that if anything they your opponent will think he has it won before the game starts and this is always a big factor.
